Description

Little French is a little over a mile east of the Sallie Barber trailhead. It begins on the north (left) side of the road a few hundred feet after passing a garage close to the right side of the road.

Little French climbs steeply for 1 mile, passing a cabin near the top. Look for a singletrack 0.2 miles after the cabin that crosses a creek. At this point the trail follows a flume for 1.6 miles.

There is trail convergence at 0.9 miles into the flume section. The trail appears to climb, but the flume continues on the left side of what appears to be the main trail. It is a little more faint.

The flume ends in another 1/2 mile at a mining road. Take a left to the top of Humbug Hill.
