Description

This trail is an all-time favorite of the locals and is a must ride while in Ashland. It starts out fast with a solid down slope garden right from the 4 corners gravel parking lot and then shoots you out into a fast singletrack roller coaster. After a large double, of course! After the jump, the trail gets steeper and narrower into a section known as the freeway. The freeway is one of the fastest trail sections on the mountain and contains plenty of rollers and berms. The freeway ends when you reach the hard left corner and the trail changes to swooping ascending and then descending singletrack.

Catwalk begins at the 4 corners trailhead and dumps you out onto Toothpick. It can be ridden uphill, but that's not recommended. Catwalk, like all popular trails, can be sweet in early spring or when its groomed, wet, rugged and full of ruts and braking bumps in late summer. Either way, it's a must ride.

This is the middle of the mountain mostly below the snow. When you get to the end of Catwalk (at the intersection), turn left onto Toothpick which has some nice flow for less than a mile (look out for dog walkers).
