Overview

The trail is generally flat, but makes up for it with tight twists through the pine and oak forest. Soil is decently sandy at times, but is generally moist enough to stick it all together. Actual distance amounts to about 5 miles.

Lots of roots along the trail, but any full suspension will soak them up without issue.

Just a couple logs to roll over, no taller than 12 inches, and both have easy bypasses for those less inclined.

Description

Parking lot is on the East side of the campus. No facilities are available, but they do have picnic benches and bleachers.

Trail is fun in either direction, but the mileage markers go counter-clockwise. There are not many turns to make, but the singletrack does cross the fire road a few times. The trail is marked with yellow 2x4 mileage markers posted to trees, and there is yellow paint marks on the trees every 100 feet or so to keep you on track.

Around mile three there are benches and a little dock that goes out into a small pond to enjoy some of the sights.

Fun trail, well maintained. Rode here after two solid days of rain and experienced no washouts, erosion, mud, or standing water.
