A biking pass for the Mohonk Preserve is required for riding this trail. This pass is also valid for biking or hiking on the Mohonk Mountain House and Minnewaska State Park properties. A pass for parking at Minnewaska State Park does not entitle you to bike onto the other properties.

Helments are required on all trails.

Description

This is a scenic ride on the historic Undercliff Carriage Trail. The riding is packed dirt doubletrack. The path is busy on its western end with climbers, walkers, runners, and bikers. There are long scenic views of the valley to the Southeast and of rock climbers on the famous Trapps Cliff on the other side of this trail.

There is little elevation change over the course of this trail. Combine it with any of the other trails in this area for a day of scenic fun.
