Need to Know

The bridge over the ditches are narrow, carry your bike if needed. The area is an extensive network of trails and Forest Service roads watch for Sisters Trail Alliance trail markers along the way.

Description

The Whychus Footbridge – Met‑Win Tie Trail is a short, mellow trail linking the Metolius-Windigo Trail to the Whychus Footbridge and the broader Peterson Ridge Trail system. It follows a mix of maintained and unmaintained Forest Service roads, with a few brief singletrack sections that add a touch of character. Riders will cross a couple of small wood‑plank bridges over active ditches, but overall the route stays smooth, straightforward, and beginner friendly. It's an easy way to move between trail networks while enjoying open forest and quiet backcountry vibes.
