Description
Broncos is an easy pedal with a lot of flow through the forest, and runs parallel to the Empire Grade highway a short distance away.
This is a two-way trail, and despite appearing relatively flat, in this direction there is very little pedalling required to maintain your flow as you head back towards the main trails in Wilder Ranch State Park.
It also tends to be very lightly traffic'd with good visibility (I suspect anyone heading in the opposite direction to the top of
Tachycardia is likely to take the more challenging Mushroom Hunter's trail on the opposite side of the highway) which adds to the peaceful enjoyment.
There are a few natural hazards - roots, and small drops - and one narrow wooden bridge to navigate (be careful as it can be slippery when wet) and some short punchy climbs and tighter turns between the trees in places, but in general is suitable for all ages and abilities, and a good progression for novice riders before they attempt some of the more challenging trails off Empire Grade.
