One Way Only: This is designated as a directional trail.
Overview
This route will take you to the two best Expert Trails of the Revenant System in Two Short Loops. You'll get to hit the upper part of
Skyline then divert to
Drop In back to the parking lot for a snack, then you get to go session the sweet jumps of
Rock House.
Need to Know
There is no water, bathrooms or anything at this trail system.
Description
Start at the parking lot and head south to meander up the hill as you wrap to the east and north up the hill. Check out the three-pack of gap jumps that you'll send at the end of
Drop In. Take a look at them and do a quick hike up and session them if needed to make sure you're good on these smaller gaps before you go 'full-send'.
Warm up as you climb
Time Warp. You'll meander in and out of a few washes and ridges as you side-hill to the drop in. At the top enjoy the view and look below you to the west to see the jumps and gaps on
Rock House and
Ninja that you'll get to hit later. Catch your breath and drop into
Skyline. Rip the berms and rock step-downs as you get the juices flowing.
Skyline features many rock step downs and some dirt rollers that are gap-able. Fork right (west) to get onto
Drop In, send the last few rock step-downs and gap-able rollers. Brap the last big berm to carry speed for the three-pack of gaps to finish. Grab a snack and a high-five at the parking lot, then climb up the easy
Rally trail to the second drop in to access the western section of Revenant. (The jumps on
Rock House are legitimate, so scope before you send) Drop in and fork right (west) to access
Rock House.
Step down, step up and get the feel of the speed you'll need for the mandatory gaps. You'll hit some well-built dirt gaps as well as a sloped rock lip and gap-able rollers. Near the middle you'll fork slightly right to go up a short lava rock strewn side-hill climb to access the final downhill pitch. Then there will be a few large step downs, and the biggest tabletop. The trail finishes on a left-hander hip gap over the optional easy-out berm and another big gap over the dry creek! So Good!!!!! These trails are pretty short and easy to lap, so hit as many laps as you can until you're tired or run out of time.
