Getting forecast...

A great mix of twisty, flowy and semi-technical singletrack near Wooster, OH.

Features -none-

"The Knob" is considered the most unusual technical singletrack in northeastern Ohio. Small painted signs give indication about what to expect around the next turn, with names like Rock Tunnel, Fern Gully, Oh Sh#!, the Cradle, Friar Bryan's Forest, Ant City ...well, you get the idea.

The trail system is about 30 miles southwest of Akron, 50 miles south of Cleveland and 90 miles north of Columbus. The venue has hosted a full mountain bike race schedule, including night races, 24 hour races, Xterra trail run races and adventure races. It's creative and fun until you fall down, and you'll fall down. It may be over one of the dozen log bridges, or on your way down to the cradle bridge or over the suspension bridge.

Just follow the trail and read the signs, and have fun!

Good course with lots of hills. Will definitely test your fitness levels and has a good mix of technical singletrack and even a few jumps mixed in.

Awesome trail with very technical challenges and unique obstacles, an absolute favorite. Careful on the expert trails, the down hills beg for a fall. 6.8mi

Getting in to Mountain Biking should this be a good place to start off? I live in the Ashland county so if there is any trails you recommend please email me at Thanks! May 5, 2017
Vultures Knob is the oldest privately owned mountain bike trail open to the public in the country. The Friends of Vultures Knob, a non profit volunteer board, is taking this classic gnar trail forward in it's evolution, making this special place even better. Sections of trail are being improved, new trail added, and amenities more plentiful. Come on out and play! Jun 26, 2017

First Mountain Bike trail experience. Very fun and challenging. Good variety. Lots of roots and rocks in many areas can make it tough. Mix of speed and curvy with technical thrown in. As they said, "you will fall down" and I did. Will be going back for sure. Jun 25, 2018
