Need to Know

Closest access is from the Grapevine Trailhead.

Description

Church Rocks is a 2.6-mile loop that meanders through Navajo sandstone and sits within the beautiful Red Cliffs Desert Reserve. It provides excellent riding for beginners looking to try slickrock, but also holds advanced optional features for experienced riders. Take Church Rocks as a nice ride all on its own or as a link-up to many other trails in the network.

Access this trail by starting at Prospector or the Grapevine trailhead. The loop can be ridden in either direction, and is enjoyable both ways. Notable features include a large slickrock slab and a chunky staircase that can be climbed or descended. The southwest side of the trail offers a large slickrock slab called the Playground, providing multiple freeride lines with easier ride-arounds that remain on the trail

On top of Church Rocks near the fartherst most point before the cool drop back to the return section. I was going clock-wise on this day.
