Description

Links is one of the most challenging trails in SW CO. It is extremely raw with zero man made features or work added to it once you enter the trees. The upper section goes through the ski run and has a small road gap before heading into a fast open section and a moderate rock garden. Once entering the trees below that section, the truly challenging part of Links begins. The bottom half is compiled of 3 main sections. The first being a multi line steep and rough rock section. The A line is is straight down and has a consequential run out if you don't make the turn at the bottom. The B Line is more challenging to ride but has more turning involved in it and lower speeds and therefor less consequential. The second section is a split between a drop into steeps or a go around that has slight off camber to it. B Line is straightforward to ride but the A Line is a decent sized drop(about as tall as the average person) into a very steep straight away with rocks and roots with some significant Compressions that you need to be ready for. The third and final section has no A Line or B Line differentiation but does have multiple lines. It starts off has a slight off camber and rough rock and root section that then makes a right turn into a steep chute. The chute has a single heavy rock compression on one side or a water rut on the other side. It concludes with heavy compressions into a left hand turn before finishing and tying back into Pirate trail.
