Need to Know

This trail is entirely on the property of Colorado Mountain College. It is open to the public, but ride at your own risk and please respect college regulations.

Description

This trail begins off of Nils Hill and turns east through a short rocky stretch. This stretch lasts 10 meters, before the trail flattens out and then gently switchbacks up through the pinyon-juniper forest.

Pass the parking lot for Pinyon Pines apartments and continue up singletrack. Cross the dirt road and follow signs to continue gentle climbing through the forest until you reach the top of the mesa. A short stretch of singletrack trail will take you to the true summit of the campus, which is well-signed. The last 5 meters to the summit is meant to be walked.

This trail can be descended, but was built primarily as a climbing trail to access the other downhill trails in this area. Please note that if you do descend this trail you should yield to uphill traffic and pedestrians.

It's an access trail - mostly well maintained, but nothing too exciting. — 0h 12m
