This forms a more extended loop with Ridge Top Trail and Old Pond Trail. In the counterclockwise direction this adds a short but fairly steep climb on washboarded trail, so consider this option only if you like that sort of thing. The washboarded sections have the spacing and depth of decaying railroad ties (although I don't think they actually are), so your shocks will get a good workout if you manage to get up any speed.

There was a lot of debris in the trail when I rode (in the height of summer), so I'm not sure if I was just "lucky" or if the trail doesn't get all that much traffic. In any case, this added a level of difficulty and reduced the fun factor by a degree.
