Description

This is a very flat and easy section of the Rivanna Trail. However, there are a few short pieces that beginners might want to walk and even experts should walk.

Crossing a small stream after Jordan Park is best done walking across the rocks. There is a short but difficult rock garden going under the 5th St Station bridge but its great for experienced riders. The next part is crossing Bent Creek at Azalea Park which you'll definitely need to walk unless you have excellent trials riding skills.

The trail does pass right next to a newly-built shopping center with a Starbucks. They were kind enough to make a paved pathway from the trail that leads up into the parking lot! Great place to stop for a break especially if you make a full loop of the Rivanna Trail.
