Description

The trail starts in Bear Creek off of South Fork Bear Creek Trail #274. After a quick ford, the trail climbs steeply up a ridge headed for Big Elk Mountain and a junction with Elk Mountain #147.

On the way up, you may see Hunter Trail #146 come up out of Deadman Creek to meet you. Also, you may be interested in a side trip down Bear Creek Hot Springs Trail to have a soak?
