Description

As of November, 2020, this new section of singletrack reroutes the Continental Divide Trail (CDT). Typically, you would continue on the road after topping off from Jack's Peak trailhead. The new section of (official) trail avoids the doubletrack ride and directly connects into the Burro Peak section of the CDT.

Simply stay on the singletrack and cross the road to reconnect into the new trail that should be well marked and ride the new trail as it traverses the western aspect of Jack's Peak until it reconnects with the original CDT prior to the high climb up Burro Peak.
