Description

Starting at a lot on River Road (190) cross the road (south) and enter a flowy creekside section that will abruptly end at Seven Locks Rd. Cross Seven Locks Rd and look for a trailhead on the east side. The trail dips back into the woods and goes under the 495 bridge before exiting at a small parking lot. Take a left (south) on the sidewalk and climb up Seven Locks Rd before entering the woods again on your left (east).

This next section was recently re-worked and features lots of fun rolling trail with some berms and steep climbs. Keep an eye out for a fun skinny with a two-foot drop at the end right when you enter the woods. This section has an optional, and very technical, section down next to Cabin John Creek if you are looking to spice it up or add another mile.

The section of trail ends at the large Cabin John Local Park off of MacArthur Blvd, and you can choose to continue all the way to the C&O Canal via the Cabin John Connector trail.
