Description

This is usually ridden as a downhill, but you can go up if you choose. During the last year, the equestrians have discovered this trail and they will be going up hill. So pay attention.

This is probably the most popular trail in the valley for mountain bikers. Families shuttle it, and everyone loves the flow. These days, most folks will combine it with a climb up Kerns Turns. Once you are on the trail, it's pretty obvious. There are a couple of road crossings, but following the trail is usually straight forward.

In spring and summer, there is a refreshing ditch splash at the end of the main downhill. After getting wet, the trail veers and climbs to the right. You can go straight here if you want on the old road, but most people prefer the short climb and more fast trail. This will dump you out at the lower road. Cross the road and head left for maybe 100' where you'll see the trail dropping off the right side of the road. This will take you to Shannon Lake.
