Description

This trail begins on Kate's Mountain Road. The trailhead sign is easy to miss and there is no parking nearby. From the road, there is a slight incline to the top of the mountain for a hundred yards or so before you begin descending. The decline begins gradually but quickly becomes very steep. Most of the trail is straight down a ridge line and can be very loose and rooty in places. It will alternate more level sections with very steep sections. There are a couple of optional rock drops along the way.

After the steepest, most rooty section, the trail will turn to the left and become more level benched singletrack. After the trail begins to descend again, there will be a short steep section that will lead to a doubletrack crossing. After another 50 yards or so, there will be a steep down/up creek crossing before another short section of singletrack that Ts into a doubletrack.

Turn right and follow the doubletrack to the intersection with Old Roads Trail. This area can be muddy in places if there has been recent rain. There will be a couple of creek crossings. This trail is recommended for INTERMEDIATE to EXPERT level riders ONLY. Make sure your brakes are in good working condition before beginning the descent.

Very overgrown at the top but its very steep and loose. Very fun trail but the steepest section was almost too loose to ride when I went. — 0h 45m
