Need to Know
There is a large parking area on the right side of the road across from the pool area.
Description
This trail begins in the back right corner of the gravel area just past the welcome cabin. There is a metal gate that is occasionally closed but you can ride around on the right side.
The first mile is a gradual climb on doubletrack with three creek crossings. After the first crossing, you'll pass the trail to the shooting range, so don't be surprised if you hear gunfire. Immediately past the next creek crossing, you'll pass Rocky Ridge trail on your left. After about a mile of gradual climbing, the trail will ascend a short rise and turn to the right.
After a flat, straight section, the trail will turn to the left and become more winding and rolling singletrack. You'll begin to descend in a moderately steep rooty section that leads into a field. Cross the field about 75 yards to an intermediate creek crossing. Be aware that heavy rains sometimes alter the creek bed making it more dangerous.
The trail turns right immediately after the creek and turns back to mostly doubletrack.
Black Bear Trail will be on your left after the crossing. The trail descends for about one mile.
Holler Trail will be on your left, followed by
Twin Pines Trail. The trail will steepen to the final descent to the road and a small parking area.
