Description

This trail descends from the Frazer Mountain Road and follows an old mining road grade across a steep mountainside. It's very rocky and is rideable to about halfway down, where you can stash your bikes and hike the rest of the way.

The perks of this trail are the sense of adventure and solitude, the seldom-seen views of Lake Fork mountain and Kachina Peak, and a close look at a steep avalanche path where the trail ends beneath the Frazer Couloir.

You may have to hike your bike over some downed trees and the lower half of the road is overgrown with 20-30 year-old trees and fallen rocks strewn about.

From the junction with the Frazer Mountain Road the Marmot Trail heads up to the left, and the Bighorn Trail down to the right.
