Description

This trail departs from Tri-Points (the intersection of Wide Open Trail, Monkey Butt Trail, and Tenderfoot Mountain Road). From there, its a nice rolling contour trail across a meadow and into an other-worldy zone of thinned lodgepole pine that was thinned in the 80's. Wide radius climbing turns take you up and away connecting with the old part of the trail that was ridden by dirt bikes many years ago. There are a couple hike-a-bike sections from this point on but all-in-all its still better then struggling up the Tenderfoot Mountain Road!
