Need to Know

This route requires riding across Lake Creek.

Description

This is a Forest Service 4x4 road that allows you the avoid the black diamond rated "Upper Twin Lakes Trail" to access the Twin Lake trails. There is no free lunch as you now have to ford Lake Creek.

On 9/7/19, I was able to ride across the river without stopping. The water was about 9 inches deep at its deepest. The river was about 20 to 40 feet wide at this section. This route may not be suitable in spring due to higher creek levels.

River forging required. Approx 25% of the lower half of the trail still under water. Not the best time to ride this trail

Nice flat area, the only problem is you have to cross the creek but it was pretty easy (might be more challenging after a rainfall).
