Description

The views of Kirkwood, Carson Pass, and surrounding alpine countryside really stand out on this trail, but the riding is really fun as well. Good uphill ride to access Silver Lake - Horse Canyon Trail #17E21 and make a loop.

Start from Thunder Mountain Trailhead on Highway 88. Pretty straightforward—there are no turns to miss.

Did the full loop and added the full lake trail. Had to shoulder the bike over snow and some steep rock areas to avoid the snow that covered the trail 14mi
