One Way Only: This is designated as a directional trail.

Overview

This route is roughly 50% singletrack 50% paved and combines:
Bedford Reservation (primarily singletrack, 11.5 mi) *** Directional
East Rim - Phase 1 (singletrack, 2.2 mi) *** Directional by day
East Rim - Phase 2 (singletrack, 4.4 mi) *** Directional by day
Bike & Hike Trail - (shared use paved, 18.3 mi)

East Rim trails are directional and direction changes daily. Follow the trailhead markers, they are very clearly labeled.

Bedford is also directional but is the same direction every day. This trail is a bit trickier to follow but does have signage at each trail entrance (it connects in multiple singletrack segments via paved paths).

The Bike & Hike Trail is shared use and can get busy on weekends, but is generally pretty manageable. There are quite a few road crossings, but no exposure to road traffic beyond that.

Need to Know

All singletrack is directional and some changes by day - see description. Limited facilities (toilet) @ Egbert parking lot and East Rim parking lot (just past East Rim - Phase 1 entrance if coming from Bedford Reservation).

Description

This map starts the Bedford Reservation trail at the Egbert parking lot, although you can start/end at any location on the route. From there, continue half-way through the Bedford Reservation course (stopping at the Bedford South parking lot). Turn left out of the parking lot on to the Bike & Hike Trail, which will continue all to way to East Rim.

Ride East Rim - Phase 1 and East Rim - Phase 2, then head back on the Bike & Hike Trail, reversing your initial route out. Connect back up to the Bedford Reservation trail and complete the rest of the loop, which will end back at the Egbert parking lot.
