Overview
Looking for a new loop from the overlook? Try this.
Begin with a traverse that becomes increasingly technical for several miles, then enjoy a great downhill followed by an intermediate climb back to the ridge. Then, it's an easy ridge ride back to the parking area.
Description
From the parking lot, take Kaylor's Knob Trail going north (Kaylor Ridge Trail (North)). The first mile is technical while the second mile is half hike a bike. Once at the knob, take a break and enjoy views to the east. From there, turn left and take Upper
Laird's Downhill. A traverse opens up to a nice quick downhill run. Expect sharp corners, steep chutes, exposed off-camber trail, and a steep creek crossing.
After a mile or so, you'll come to an intersection—it is obvious—and follow the yellow loop to the left. From the yellow loop, take
Upper Ravine to return to Kaylor's Knob Trail. Return to the overlook parking lot.
