Overview

A quick loop outside of Shell, WY on the typical two-track trails that are characteristic of the area.

Need to Know

You'll pass through a couple or gates on this trail, so be very sure that you close the gates!

This one is close to the town of Shell where you can eat / drink at Shell Campground or the Fossil Rock Tavern. Shell Campground has plenty of camping options and some very nice cabins.

Description

There are great views of the Bighorn Mountains that are available on this loop. The trails are almost all two-track. The first half is a steady climb and the second half is almost all downhill. The downhill has a few steep, rocky sections that are a bit technical, but nothing over the top. It's a fun ride when you only have an hour!
