Beginning from Mindo Biking, the ride exits town with a short climb up to where the dirt road starts. The ride goes gradually down parallel to the Rio Mindo to the end of the road where this is a nice jungle lodge. Returning presents a gradual climb of about 500 feet in just under 5 miles. The ride has some birding—we saw parrots, parrokeets, and other birds along the way. The flowers and greenery make it worth the effort as a great activity when visiting the Mindo Cloud Forest area.
