Need to Know

Very remote, no cell phone coverage, very few people. One shop at Valdez/Minas de Buenavista but probably not attended.

Description

This trail is mapped as the second part of the Valdez/Minas de Buenavista trail. However, you can also start from this direction and go the other way or come back to here. The trail is an old doubletrack, which has grown over and is now rather a single trail. it will take you up some steep, sandy, and rocky trail with a little turn off to the San Claudio waterfalls, which are mapped on OSM. Coming down from Valdez/Minas de Buenavista, make sure not to miss the turn-off to rider's left where the trails cross. There is only one way, but a few false turn offs, so make sure to follow the GPS track.
