Nice single trail all the way to the village, then very dense and unfriendly terrain (unrideable for a good portion).

From the village to the main road, the path is extremely dense with thorny bushes. The alternate way is also very dense, but maybe not as thorny.

Need to Know

Very remote, no cell phone coverage.

Description

The first part leads through semi-steep to steep terrain up to the village of Valdez (according to map Minas de Buenavista). Here there is a shop, but it was not attended during this trip and is not reliable. After the village, you could opt to go back the direction you came from (but on another trail) or as mapped go down the trail. This trail is on the map, but extremely dense with marabu thorn trees and almost impossible to ride. However it was easier to advance on the bike than walking/carrying the bike. Terrain contains rocks, roots, leaves, sand and mud.
