Description

Barron Russell Road takes you from the paved Round Oak Juliette Road deep into the heart of the Piedmont National Wildlife Refuge. There are a couple of farms early in the route but soon enough civilization is left behind.

As one of the main trunk roads through the refuge, numerous minor roads intersect Barron Russell and it forms an essential part of various shorter loops in PNWR. Or follow the longer Fried Green Tomatoes route.
