No hiking allowed on this trail and no riding back up the trail.

As of summer 2018, this is a new addition to the growing mix of trails offered at Ski Apache with another new trail planned for the 2019 season. To access this trail, simply begin riding down the Intermediate DH Trail until you pass thorough the Apache Bowl. Follow the sign labelled "Double Blue Diamond", and you'll end up on the new trail.

It will briefly run parallel and below the Intermediate DH Trail then a sharp, banked switchback will take you into the trees and you'll negotiate a slightly more technical experience that is generally narrower than the Intermediate DH Trail.

Additionally, there are a few large jumps that can be as technical as you want to make them. The trail will reconnect with the Intermediate DH Trail at the two-mile mark next to the large switchback accented by a banked wooden ladder. From here, you simply follow the Intermediate DH Trail the rest of the way down the mountain.
