Description

See the full course description here. This 50K course returns to Koch Park in Aspen earlier in the day.

After pedaling on Upper River Road, past the Woody Creek Tavern, barely make a right onto Smith Hill Way, and then go straight into the parking lot for Jaffee Park. At the end of the parking lot, climb the path that connects you up to the Rio Grande Trail. Continue on Rio Grande Trail all the way to Stein Park, at which point you'll make a left on the Cemetery Lane Bike Path. At the top of Cemetery Lane, make left crossing the road, on to the Bike Path between Aspen Airport Business Center & Aspen. This path crosses under Highway 82, and continues forward as the Marolt OS bike path. Make a left on the bike path's bridge over Maroon Creek, where you re-join the full 50 mile course. After the bridge, make a left on to S. 7th Street, a right onto Hopkins Ave., and another right onto the Midland Trail. As you make your way to the finish at Koch Park, please yield to other trail users on the trails.
