Bike path paralleling Highway 82 between AABC and downtown Aspen.

Features -none-

Description

This paved path can be used to connect the Aspen Airport Business Center (AABC or often just ABC) & the State Highway 82 Bridge spanning over Castle Creek. The bike path effectively ends at this bridge, but most riders continue on the standard sidewalk at this point to connect to the West End neighborhood where Hallam Street offers a bike friendly route further towards downtown Aspen. Alternatively, follow signs for the Marolt trail bike path that takes you just under the Highway 82 Bridge, and proceeds to the Marolt Open Space area and Hopkins Ave. beyond.

There are numerous departure points along this bike path, including the Cemetery Lane bike path, the Aspen Golf Club municipal course (www.aspengolf.com), Truscott Apartment complex, Maroon Creek Club, Buttermilk base area, and the Owl Creek bike path.
