Need to Know

Fraser Canyon Trail is in Granby Ranch and requires you to buy a day pass to ride any of their XC trails.

Description

This trail is most commonly ridden downhill but is also a good climber. The trail begins at the top of the Quickdraw chairlift by the wedding venue. This area overlooks the Fraser River Canyon and the Continental Divide.

Off the top, the trail is more steep and has many fun switchbacks through the woods with views of the canyon along the way. Near the middle of the descent, the trail climbs several switchbacks in an open sage field with cool views of the canyon. After this slight climb, the descent continues through the neighborhood. The other end of the trail is on the east end of the parking lot by the log cabin at the base of the resort.

The average grade of the upper part is 8% and the lower (green) is 2% with pretty minimal rock/technical terrain, there are a few punchy climbs that put it into the blue category. It's blue going uphill, but most people ride it down...

Great views of Granby Ranch after climbing up Natures Way Trail. It's an easy climb so don't worry about taking the lift.

Bottom 1/3 of trail is GONE! Now a residential construction. No way to reach the north side climb. Very disappointing end of a former favorite.
