Family Friendly It's a nice, wide trail in most places, and the areas that aren't are easily bypassed with other trails.

Private Trail. Access is reserved for lodging guests only at Devil's Thumb Ranch Resort & Spa. For more information, please call (970) 726-7000.

Need to Know

This trail is used as a road by Ranch vehicles, including the zip line transportation vehicles. It is also important to be aware of and yield to horses and horse-drawn wagons.

While it is mostly a dirt road, there are some sections that turn into singletrack. It is mostly a beginner trail with the exception of some bigger hills and the singletrack areas.

Description

Blue Extra starts out just past the Cabin Road on Devil's Thumb Ranch property. There is signage along the whole trail, but the easiest way is to just stay on the dirt road. When it turns to singletrack, just follow the signs.

When you get near County Road 8, you encounter the first climb, and then encounter another climb about a quarter mile past the Sawmill Yurt. This trail can be travelled both directions. The other end of the trail is right across the road from the Cabin Creek Stables.

Easy ride, almost entirely on a dirt road / horse trail. Probably good for exercise, but wouldn't travel just for this ride. 6mi — 0h 50m
