Located just over an hour west of Denver and the Front Range, the town of Winter Park sits nestled into the Fraser River Valley. The steep drive up and over Berthound Pass that's required to access Winter Park, makes the town feel removed from the hustle and bustle of the I-70 corridor. The town is heavily invested in outdoor sports, especially mountain biking, with good reason.

Local Info

Touting itself as "Mountain Bike Capital, USA," Winter Park, Colorado boasts beautiful Rocky Mountain terrain, a world class lift-serviced bike park and miles upon miles of tasty singletrack. Keeping all of that in mind, a valid argument could be made for this town's self proclaimed superiority in the realm of mountain bike destinations.

If visiting the area, you'll be able to choose between anything from beginner-friendly trails down near the valley floor, to heart-pumping high alpine singletrack, and everything in between. If blasting down immaculate, purpose-built bike trails sounds fun to you, be sure to pick up a lift ticket at Trestle Bike Park (www.trestlebikepark.com) for a gravity-fed experience that is one of the best in all of North America.

Trestle Bike Park
In addition to the MANY miles of cross-country trails in the valley, the Trestle Bike Park provides lift-served downhill trails for all abilities. It is the premier bike park in the USA.
