Family Friendly There is a pancake restaurant in Lierop. If you start near the 'Keelven', it is two-thirds of the way around the loop.

One Way Only: This is designated as a directional trail.

Need to Know

The trail runs briefly through the town of Lierop, where there is a pancake restaurant. Near the parking area for 'Het Keelven', there is also a nice restaurant.

Description

Markings: Red MTB signs
Parking: The largest parking area is near 'Het Keelven', along the road between Someren and Heeze. Here you can also start the trail of Someren. A recommended alternative is to start at the parking area for the Strabrechtse Heide at the end of the Heezerweg in Mierlo (just after crossing the A67). If you start from here, you can follow the black MTB signs for the Connection Trail Molenheide - Lieropse Heide and enjoy an extra piece of Moorland. If you follow the black signs in the other direction (back over the A67), you'll reach the Molenheide/Luchtenseheide trail.

This trail runs mostly through the forest. The part north of Hwy A67 is a bit more open and contains some elevation changes. The southern part is far more beautiful however, especially through the sections of the forest with views of the Moorland.
