Description

Lower Spring is probably the most difficult trail in the park. The character is similar to others in the park with its share of roots and small rocks. From Upper Spring, the trail descends steeply down to the intersection with Deer Run and then you have a steep 200 ft climb from Deer Run to Upper Spring. The downward leg follows a rushing creek on the right and passes beneath a tunnel of rhododendrons. The upward leg feels less crowded although it still passes through dense forest.

Too bad it is so short!
