This is uphill-only for bikes and two-way for running and walking. No dogs are allowed in the Scenic Reserve. One Way Only: This is designated as a directional trail.

Description

Only a little up the road from the CBD, this beautiful protected forest is now accessible to ride, run, or walk. Utiwai starts at Camp Elsdon and arrives 40 or so vertical meters above Chimney Sweep. There is a descent planned from here all the way to the gate, with the final 450m almost complete. However the rest is still to be signed-off on.
