Description

This relatively new trail is an exciting connector that helps to connect the Hurricane Valley to the Virginia Highlands Horse Trail: Section 3. Traveling through some of the more remote areas of the Mount Rogers NRA, this trail turns out to be only a moderate workout for the experienced. Through its twisty length it remains relatively smooth, but there are a few rock gardens thrown in for good measure.

If you choose to travel in the winter, you'll be rewarded with awesome views of Sugar Grove and Rye Valley some 2,000 feet below. The trail surface is primarily sandstone and loamy soils, so be cautious during the wet season.
