This is probably the most popular trail in the Lake Murray Trail System. The Race Loop provides a bit of flow, some rock gardens, and a few challenging rocky climbs.

The Race Loop officially starts at Dukes Forest. While it in itself is not a loop, you can catch a connector at the end (going clockwise) back to the Anadarche Creek Trail that you can take north to the start. This option makes a good 8.0 mile loop, which is the course for most short races held here.
