Description

Coyote's local signs have it labeled as a BLACK DIAMOND, but I think that refers to technical requirements for the truck and jeep crowd. It's a good ride for mountain bikers - definitely easier downhill from south to north. This road is steeper an narrower than Skyline Road so it sees less 4-wheeled vehicle traffic and makes it a great shortcut if you're pressed for time. It's a good option to consider when combining trails and roads for an all day epic ride south of the lake.
