Description

This is a connector between Green Mountain Road (GM-1) and Green Mountain Road (GM-6). GM-17 provides an easy alternate route to the Vista Trail instead of using the more difficult and technical Gold Creek Trail. GM-17 is basically just a long steady climb through a working forest.

To reach the bottom of GM-17, ride the Gold Creek Trail across the Gold Creek bridge and then follow the Davis Trail (formally GM-6) and keep left until you reach GM-17. Davis Trail is flat and bordered by scenic marshlands for much of its length.
