Overview

This loop is for beginner to intermediate riders. It heads through an assortment of trails in the Page Brook area (east side) of Chenango Valley State Park.

Description

Jump on this singletrack loop that consists of Brookside Trail, Far Side Trail, Other Side Trail, and a return via Woodland Trail. Compared to the North Loop, this ride is more forgiving for novice riders with less elevation and mileage. It has an interesting mix of wooded singletrack winding up and down along the shore of Page Brook with several nice views of the brook.

After reaching the park entrance road, take a right on the paved road, over the brook and look for the entrance to the Far Side Trail trails on your right and the Other Side Trail on your left. Both of these have very tight and twisty turns through some interesting terrain. The return via the Woodland Trail has a generally fast descent back towards the parking area.
