Description

This Feature Ride follows the projected course for the NCICL !Dark Mountain race which is scheduled for May 6, 2018 (permit pending). This route uses some of the newest trails at Kerr Scott, which are exciting additions to the newly revamped !Dark Mountain.

Starting at the parking lot and trailhead, proceed to the far corner of the gravel loop and cross the bridge. Follow the green arrows for most of the loop, but take a sharp left on the doubletrack before the downhill starts. This turn adds an additional section to the green loop.

If scouting out this section without a guide who knows the route, use the MTB Project mobile app for this segment since it uses several unmarked connectors to combine with doubletrack and old-school singletrack reversing some of Burn 24 Hour course.

The route will climb back up to the downhill course using a short singletrack connector and merge back in where the upper segment turned on the doubletrack. From this point, follow the flow as a thrilling downhill awaits.
