Update

Race solo, duo, or trio teams on this epic 16+ mile course! How many laps can you rack up in 12 hours?

Raleigh Burt

Overview

The main Penitente Canyon climbing canyon route is only open to cyclists during the race. The campground and entire recreation area is closed to the public Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday on race weekend - this includes the Witches Canyon and Sidewinder Road.
Join us for another great 12 Hours of Penitence in the San Luis Valley! This event takes full advantage of all the wonderful features Penitente Canyon has to offer. The race course begins near the main campground and climbs through Penitente Canyon which is typically closed to cyclists.

After a short hike-a-bike section, racers get on singletrack and head south into the flatter, faster portion of the course. The ride gets better and better as racers ascend Sunshine Kitty then fly down Rock Drops / Blue Sky Loop!
Dogs: Leashed
