This trail starts across from a parking lot (right at the turn for it) at the back of the YMCA fields complex. A sign marks the beginning of this trail.

This trails starts with a large rocky downhill. Then it goes up an easier uphill. It continues with a little bit of smooth track and a lot of rocky trail. It eventually passes right past ship rock. Climb up the ladder (careful on the one rung near the top that has screws sticking out. This one is a little lose) for a extra challenge or take a brake at the picnic table right there. A little ways down the trail will be a long uphill. At the top it passes near ship rock. From hear its flat with a slight downgrade. Gear up and fly at breakneck speed. After a moment you'll emerge from the forest and the trail will cross a small field. At the end is the parking lot on the other side of the road.

In case you didn't catch it, this trail is super rocky, but has some smooth singletrack, like at the end. This trail in the summer gets no direct sunshine because of the leaves, so great for hot summer days. Very beautiful trail.
