Description

The trail branches off to the west as part of a four-way intersection near the ice rink trailhead. It begins with a switchback followed by a flat, rock-strewn section. Next, a bridge transfers the rider to the other side of a creek, marking the start of a gradual, rolling climb. The climb ends after a steep right-turn switchback.

After this, the trail traverses the side of a hill, keeping things interesting with two or three sets of switchbacks, one of which is followed by a drop made from a fallen tree. The trail ends with an eight-foot long rock garden, with a small amount of exposure to the right. After the rock garden, a right turn followed by a creek crossing at the intersection will keep you in the park, while a left turn will take you to the Chestnut Grove neighborhood.
