Description

This long doubletrack follows gentle rolling hills and the occasional steep climb along the Rio Grande Gorge. The terrain changes from rocks and gravel to sand in spots. There are not streams to cross, but you still won't want to ride this when muddy.

This is a fun pedal for a "you choose the distance" out-and-back or as part of longer rides utilizing nearby trails. As you travel, views from the rim down to the Rio Grande will add to the fun. You might even see some backpackers, too.

The southern end starts at the Sheep Crossing Overlook Trail and the northern end meets the North Ute Mountain Road.
