“Technical downhill followed by a grueling climb out or reverse it to end on the downhill!”
— Hahn Huang
This loop is made up of awesome trails that feature a little bit of everything terrain-wise. There are a few viewpoints along the way, but nothing to write home about. Easy parking accessibility and camping nearby.
You can do this lollipop route in either direction. Most people go counter-clockwise (as mapped) which gives you a super technical descent to start heading down Cedar Creek Trail #457
, followed by a long, grueling climb back up Fifteen Mile Trail #456
. The descent can be less technical going down #456 in the clockwise direction, and is mostly forested.
